Steven is a barrister, mediator, and family resolution dispute practitioner. He is a member of the Bar Association of Queensland and is in private practice. From time to time, he acts as an advocate for our clients.
He has practiced in Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales. His practice primarily revolves around the effective resolution of crime/traffic, family and administrative legal matters. He has a well-developed knowledge and experience in the review of migration decisions.
Steven was admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in New South Wales in 2007. However, prior to being admitted, he acted as a New South Wales police prosecutor for five years. As a lawyer, he worked in the public sector, in both New South Wales and Queensland in the regulation of the real estate, home building and health professions.
In addition to being a barrister, he is also casually employed as a lecturer/tutor/researcher at the University of Queensland. He is further employed, on a casual basis, with the Department of Corrective Services, as an Official Visitor.
Steven is able to provide practical legal advice to our clients across a wide range of legal issues including tenancy disputes, employment issues, consumer concerns and issues related to the issuance of Blue Cards. He also is well able to legally represent our clients before all courts and tribunals in Queensland.
